The utter narrow-mindedness, the inexplicable blindness, the laughable and infuriating paranoia!



I used to go to these churches religiously... grew up with this kind of mentality, actually. When I was a kid, I was the neighborhood collector and distributor of all those Chick publications. I had the complete set of Crusaders comicbooks, which -- among other things -- demonized the Catholic Church, rock music, Islam. The smaller comics/tracts were well-illustrated, but I only now realize they are tools for spreading unbelievable hatred.



Below, for example, is Doom Town, a ridiculous prosecution of alternative lifestyles.
