There are hundreds of short films that have explored gay lives. A lot of them have been compiled into anthologies like the Boys Life series. But here's one that has recently come to my attention that I particularly like. This one's a tale of being different -- and growing up. It's titled Golden, and is produced and directed by Kai Stänicke, a German filmmaker. It made the rounds of LGBT film festivals last year. He has uploaded the film to YouTube in response to the Orlando massacre.
It's quite short, but it's disarming. You'll need hankies. Enjoy.
