entry arrow9:42 PM | Wednesday Night in Dumaguete

Walking down Silliman Avenue to the Rizal Boulevard and then seeing the bright misshapen moon hanging above the horizon, a crown above Siquijor in the clear night sky, it occurred to me so suddenly that the evening was beautiful. The night breeze was a magnificent surprise. From somewhere, some band was singing America's "A Horse With No Name." Everything stirred in that DumagueteƱo Wednesday night rhythm, and for a brief shining moment, the universe made sense.
