entry arrow2:08 PM | A Writers' Summer in Dumaguete

Aside from the Silliman University Writers Workshop, which ensures that May is the city's true Literature Month, the thing I love about Dumaguete, especially in the summer, is bumping into writer friends, like it's the most casual thing in the world. No plans, instant meet-ups.

With playwright and screenwriter Rody Vera at Rollin' Pin.

With children's writer Luis Gatmaitan at Qyosko.

With Mookie Katigbak-Lacuesta, Dean Francis Alfar, Anthony Tan, and Cesar Ruiz Aquino and the fellows of the 57th Silliman University National Writers Workshop at the Ariniego Art Gallery.

With fellows, panelists, and staff of the 57th Silliman University National Writers Workshop at the Food District.

With Noel Tuazon, Erlinda Alburo, Jaime An Lim, and Marjorie Evasco at the Alice Fullerton Hall grounds.
